Title: CL2 2005 Graduation Agreements with 3 locations

Recommendation:
I recommend approval of the graduation agreements with the Palm Beach County Convention Center, Florida Atlantic University, and The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Inc.  for the FY 2005 high school graduation ceremonies, and authorize the Superintendent to sign all related documents and contracts. 

Description:

4    The Palm Beach County Convention Center, Florida Atlantic University, and The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Inc., have been reserved for graduation ceremonies for  the Adult Education Center,  summer school graduation, and eighteen (18) high schools which include the following: Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr. School of the Arts, Atlantic Community High, Boca Raton Community High, Boynton Beach Community High, Forest Hill Community High, John I. Leonard High, Jupiter Community High, Lake Worth Community High, Olympic Heights Community High,  Palm Beach Central High, Palm Beach Gardens High, Palm Beach Lakes Community High, Royal Palm Beach Community High, Santaluces Community High, Spanish River Community High, Suncoast High, Wellington Community High, William T. Dwyer High.

§        Schools not previously mentioned will have graduation ceremonies at their school site, those schools include: Glades Central Community High School, Indian Ridge School, Pahokee Middle Senior High School and Royal Palm School. Gold Coast School graduation ceremony will be held at the PBCC-Eissey Campus. 

4    The graduation cost for the graduation ceremonies includes rehearsals, room rental fees, custodial, and security.

4    The funds are included in the district-operating budget for the Department of Secondary and Career Education.

4    The agreements are for annual renewal and provide for multi-year use of facilities, pending availability with annual cost, dates and specific needs to be determined.

 

      The projected fee is $ 207, 648 including rental and applicable parking fees.        

Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the district is $ 207, 648. The source of funds is the Department of Secondary and Career Education.
