Title: Recommendation: I recommend approval of the submission of the Picower Foundation Grant for $640,505 to continue and expand the Single School Culture for Academics initiative. Description: · This project will provide training, coaching, and modeling on various components of Single School Culture for Academics and fund the expansion to additional schools that may meet the criteria for AAA status. · This grant will provide resources for the following: o Five positions described below. Three positions are new positions to the District. § Two Managers (2 new positions) to develop training components; monitor implementation; and observe, provide feedback to and evaluate Learning Team Facilitators. § Two Resource Teachers (1 new position) to mentor and coach new Learning Team Facilitators and model the components of the project. § The Parent Advocacy Specialist to provide a minimum of 50 Efficacy presentations to parents. o Stipends for training to enable more schools to implement Single School Culture for Academics processes. o A County-wide “Campaign for Proficiency” to be developed and conducted in Financial Impact: The financial impact to the Special Revenue – Other Funds Budget is an increase of $640,505.
