Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board approve Reduction of Retainage from 1% to .3% for West Boca Raton High School (01-LLL), Design/Build Project, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

West Boca Raton High (01-LLL), Design/Build Project #3251-8276

• Description:  On West Boca Raton High School, the Contractor, James B. Pirtle Construction, achieved Substantial Completion on May 15, 2004, and has now requested a Reduction of Retainage from 1% to .3%; the Architect and District staff recommends this reduction.

This reduction will allow the contract to remain open as the Contractor completes the interior build out of future Building #12.

Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $0.00.
