Title: RE1 Approve Lease Agreement/Classroom Space – Boca Raton High School

Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board approve the renewal of the Lease Agreement for classroom space with the First Baptist Church of Boca Raton, Inc. for Boca Raton Community High School’s ESOL program; and authorizing the Chairman and Superintendent to sign all necessary documents.

Description:

• Boca Raton Community High School has a continuing need for classroom space for its Adult Education ESOL program.

• The First Baptist Church of Boca Raton, Florida, Inc. has classroom space available for use by Adult Education for its ESOL program.  This space has been leased annually for the past four (4) years by Boca Raton Community High School for its ESOL Program.

• The term for this renewal Lease Agreement is July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2005 (12 months).

• The annual rent is $21,769.20 payable at $1,814.10 per month.

• The premises being leased consist of six (6) classrooms and one (1) additional room to be used as an office located in the east wing and one classroom located in the west wing of the education building of the First Baptist Church of Boca Raton, 2350 NW Yamato Road, Boca Raton, Florida.

• The premises have been inspected and approved by the School District’s Regulatory Compliance and Environmental Control Offices.

Financial Impact:
The amount of $21,769.20 will be provided by Workforce Development funds for Adult Education.
