Title: PM2 Project Modifications for Forest Hill High

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve Project Modifications in the amount of $79,881.00 for Forest Hill Community High School, Modernization Project, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

Forest Hill Community High School, Modernization Project #0581-8215

This project modification contains the following item:

• CCD #5 in the amount of $79,881.00.
• Description: The existing baseball concession stand revisions included in the CCD are; to provide a fire alarm and intercom system, provide new exterior stair and repaint of the entire building (interior and exterior). Provide power to ball field lights and concessions. Provide water service to concessions.
• Cause: School District Requested.
Justification:  All services had been disconnected.  The concession stand was originally scheduled to be demolished and this work was not part of the original scope. At the school's request, the existing concession stand is now to remain for use with the baseball field. Remodeling of the building is required to insure compliance with current required Florida Building Code and the Uniform Fire Safety Standard as adopted by the State Fire Marshal.
The design services for the renovation of the existing concession stand, was previously Board approved on September 22, 2004.

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $79,881.00.

The source of funds is the project budget as approved by the Board at the time of the Construction Contract Award.
