Title: PM4 Project Modifications for Watson B. Duncan

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve Project Modifications in the amount of $15,264.00 for Watson B. Duncan Middle School, HVAC Replacement Project, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

Watson B. Duncan Middle School, HVAC Replacement Project #1971-8222

This Project Modification contains the following items:

Item #1
• CCD #1 in the amount of $7,227.00
• Description: Upgrade electrical code violations, Building #4.
• Cause: Unforeseen Condition
• Justification:  During the HVAC modifications electrical code violations were discovered. 

Item #2             
• CCD #2 in the amount of $2,387.00
• Description: Add piping for 2 roof drains in the chiller room.
• Cause: Design Omission
• Justification:  The drawings indicated roof drains, but did not include the piping on the riser diagrams.   

Item #3  
• CCD #3 in the amount of $5,650.00
• Description: Add a 1000 amp breaker to the main switch gear.
• Cause: Design Omission
• Justification:  The drawings indicated the breaker was 100 amps, a 1000 amp breaker is required.  

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $15,264.00.

The source of funds is Minor Projects.
