Title: LR1 Retainer Renewal - Dr. Randall Burks, Esq.

Recommendation:
I recommend the Board renew its retainer of Dr. Randall Burks, Esquire, as legal consultant in appellate practice, administrative law, regulatory compliance, and governance through December 31, 2005.

Description:

• The primary areas of service for Legal Services are listed in Section 2 of the attached contract form.
• As an independent contractor, the Consultant receives no benefits.
• There is a not-to-exceed amount of $60,000.

Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the District’s general fund budget is $60,000.00.  The source of funds is the Legal Services Department budget.
