Recommendation:

I recommend that the School Board approve additional expenditures on RFP 02C-009R, Temporary Staffing Services, in the not-to-exceed amount of $325,000.

 

Description:

Approve request for additional estimated expenditure for RFP 02C-009R, Temporary Staffing Services, in the not-to-exceed amount of $325,000.

 

·      Vendor Name:  Adecco North America, Express Personnel Services and Kelly Services 

 

·      Original Estimated Expenditure:  $2,000,000

 

·      Type of Contract:  Fixed Unit Prices.  No total expenditure is guaranteed.

 

·      Presented to Board:   September 18, 2002                   Agenda Item:  13A-2

 

·      Contract Period:  October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2005

 

·      Purchase Orders Issued:  $2,000,000

         Requisitions Pending:       $10,600

                 

·      The revised estimated expenditure is requested to be increased by $325,000 for a total of $2,325,000.  The current budget has sufficient funds to cover estimated costs in the fiscal year.  No additional budget funds are required.

 

·      This contract provides temporary staffing services which are utilized for non-instructional personnel for schools and departments throughout the District.  Three vendors are under contract and each has provided a price range schedule for various job descriptions and requirements.  The hourly rates for temporary staffing personnel  will remain the same as when the RFP was awarded in 2002.

Financial Impact:
The additional financial impact to the District Budget is estimated at $325,000.  The source of funds is various schools and departments budgets.
