Title: CP5 Term Contract for Debris Cleanup/Removal

Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board approve award of Term Contract and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents for Debris Removal to Ceres Environmental Services, Inc., D&J Enterprises, DRC, Inc. from June 30, 2005 through June 29, 2007 and may, by mutual agreement between the School board and the awardee, be renewable for three additional one-year periods.

Description:

To establish a Term Contract to Contractor to remove as quickly as possible all hazards to life and District property resulting from an emergency/hurricane/tornado/disaster directly affecting School District Property.

Clean up, demolition and removal will be limited to (1) that which is determined to eliminate immediate threats to life, public health, and safety; (2) that which has been determined to eliminate immediate threats of significant damage to School District property, and; (3) that which is considered essential to ensure economic recovery of affected School District areas.

The services shall consist of but not limited to clean up, demolition, removal, reduction, disposal of debris and/or labor and equipment as directed by the designated representative of the District.  In addition, the awardee shall develop an operational plan and procedure for accurate tracking of debris, work, and submittal of audit documents acceptable for federal reimbursement, including clear pictures of damage before clean-up work is started.

Financial Impact:
The financial impact is from various funds and will be used in the event of an emergency.
