Title: T1 Consider Donation of Surplus Vehicles

Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board authorize the Superintendent to donate two surplus vehicles to G-STAR School of the Arts for Motion Pictures and Television Charter School.

Description:

• Florida Statute 274.06 allows disposal of surplus property in a manner consistent with the best interests of the District.
• Pursuant to Florida's Charter Schools law, all surplus property shall be provided for a charter school's use on the same basis as is made available to other public schools in the District.
• G-STAR School of the Arts for Motion Pictures and Television Charter School will be transporting its employees, supplies and other property.
• Prior to the execution of this donation, G-STAR School of the Arts for Motion Pictures and Television Charter School will be required to sign a vehicle donation agreement.
• Appropriate liens will be filed with the State of Florida.
• Property records of the transferred vehicles will be retired to the inactive file.
• Written request for surplus vehicles is attached.

Financial Impact:
Donation of two used vehicles that would sell for approximately $2,000. to $5,000.
