Title: PM3 Project Modifications for Limestone Creek

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board ratify Project Modifications in the amount of $135,325.00 for Limestone Creek Elementary School, Classroom Addition Project, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

Limestone Creek Elementary School - Classroom Addition Project #2031-8377

 

This project modification contains the following item:

 

  • Additional Architectural Services in the amount of $135,325.00
  • Description: Additional design services required due to added schope required to accommodate class size reduction. 
  • Cause: School District Requested
  • Justification: The design is based on the addition of Class Size Reduction requirements not included in the original scope. The additional scope added 217 student stations to the project. The Request for Proposal (RFP) was sent out on August 18, 2003 prior to Educational Specification approval date of October 15, 2003.  The Board agreed to include additional classrooms for class size reduction to avoid having portables remain at the school after the construction of the addition.  Construction costs are included in the GMP.

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $135,325.00.

 

The source of funds is the project budget as approved by the Board at the time of the Construction Contract Award.
