Title: P6 Contract with Herff Jones, Inc.

Recommendation:

I recommend approval of the contract with Herff Jones, Inc. for Diplomas and accessories for the FY 06 year in the not-to-exceed amount of $50,000 and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all necessary documents.

Description:

Approve a contract with Herff Jones, Inc. for Diplomas and Accessories in the not-to-exceed amount of $50,000.

·      Herff Jones, Inc. is a quality vendor that provides diplomas as part of their product line and has been in business for over 80 years. 

·      They have agreed to provide the School District with diplomas for FY06 for the following prices:

            Diplomas:                    $1.40/each

            Covers:                        $2.85/each

            Blank Diplomas:         $1.17/each

            Emergency Kits:         $5.38/each

Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the District Budget is estimated at $50,000.  The source of funds is the District budget.
