I recommend the School Board approve Project Modifications for the addition of thirty (30) non-compensable calendar days, for Palm Beach Public School, Modernization Project, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.
Description:
Palm Beach Public School - Modernization Project #0421-8221
This project modification contains the following item:
- COPR #2 for the addition of thirty (30) non-compensable calendar days.
- Description: Extend the project schedule by an additional thirty (30) calendar days. Revise substantial completion date from November 3, 2005 to December 2, 2005.
- Cause: School District Requested.
- Justification: Following Board approval to replace the building given a Landmarks designation by the Town (Building #1), additional meeting with the Town of Palm Beach were held to obtain their agreement. This process caused further delays to the start of demolition and construction thereby impacting the critical path activities on the project.
