Title: P3 05C-009N for Asbestos & Industrial Hygiene Consulting Services

Recommendation:

I recommend approval of RFP 05C-009N, Asbestos and Industrial Hygiene Consulting Services and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all necessary documents.

Description:

Approve the award of RFP 05C-009N for Asbestos and Industrial Hygiene Consulting Services, in the not-to-exceed amount of $500,000.

·      RFP 05C-009N for Asbestos and Industrial Hygiene Consulting Services was solicited on May 2, 2005.  A total of 72 vendors were notified of the availability of the RFP.  Responses received totaled 11.

·      The Evaluation Committee, consisting of District staff, convened and reviewed proposals and recommended awards based upon the evaluation criteria outlined in the RFP.

·      It was the recommendation of the Committee to award to Enhealth, MACTAC, Morse Zehnter, QORE and REP Associates, Inc.

·      Services to be provided include asbestos and industrial hygiene consulting services.

·      Copies of the RFP documents are attached.   

Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the Capital Budget is estimated at $500,000.  The source of funds is the Environmental Control Office budget.
