Title: CP1 Construction Management at Risk Agreement for Glades Central HS Academy

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve an Agreement for Construction Management at Risk Services and Preconstruction Phase Fee in the amount of $45,855.. to W.G. Mills, Inc. and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents for Glades Central HS, Project No. 2301-8316. 

Description:

Construction Management at Risk services required for the modification of an existing classroom building and construction of a new classroom building to accommodate additional programs.

Approved Construction Budget: $4,585,473.

 

Minority Participation: 15% 

No. of Stories: 3

Gross Square Feet:  31,436

 

Four (4) firms responded to the RFP of which three (3) were shortlisted.  The final ranking of the Selection Committee is as follows:

 

(1)   W.G. Mills, Inc.

(2)   The Weitz Company

(3)   Heery International, Inc.

 

Financial Impact:
The financial impact is $45,855. The source of funds is the project budget.
