Title: AC5 Cooperative Agreement with University of Central Florida

Recommendation:
I recommend that the School Board approve this Cooperative Agreement with University of Central Florida to place speech-language pathologist interns in District schools.  This Agreement shall be in effect from August 17, 2005 until either party desires to terminate.

Description:

This Cooperative Agreement allows the District to accept eligible Speech-Language Pathology students as interns with District certified Speech-Language Pathologists.

University of Central Florida will consult with the District's Program Planner for Communication in selecting clinical experiences for these students.

University of Central Florida will provide student supervision and assure interns will adhere to District policies and procedures.

University of Central Florida will maintain professional liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 for each intern.

This Cooperative Agreement assists the District in securing qualified speech-language pathologists.

Financial Impact:
There is no financial impact to the District.
