Title: Recommendation: I recommend the School Board approve the Educational Specification for the modernization to Suncoast High School, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents. Description: 1. The construction of the modernization to Suncoast High is scheduled to commence 2006 and be completed by 2008. 2. The Educational Specification for modernization to Suncoast High is consistent with the CSR facility lists and CSR Generic Educational Specifications approved by the Board on November 8, 2004. 3. The "CSR FISH Capacity" of this school design would be 1,700 and the "Program Capacity" of this school design would be 1,500 students. 4. The Educational Specification reflects the use of academic houses to enable implementation of the "school-within-a-school" concept. 5. The Educational Specification was reviewed and approved by the principal. Financial Impact: Financial impact will be determined when construction contract is negotiated.
