Title: PM2 Project Modifications for H.L. Watkins Middle

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve Project Modifications in the amount of $17,400.00 for H.L. Watkins Middle School, Modernization Project, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

H.L. Watkins Middle School – Modernization Project #0121-8263

 

This project modification contains the following item:

 

§         Additional Architectural Services in the amount of $17,400.00.

§         Description: Civil engineering documents to be modified, permits and construction Administration for site revisions to accommodate ten (10) modulars.

§         Cause:  School District Requested.

  • Justification:  Modulars required to house students due to class size reductions and increased enrollment.  The school was designed prior to class size reduction. The cost of construction was covered in the GMP.  The modulars are being funded separately.

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $17,400.00.

 

The source of funds is the project budget as approved by the Board at the time of the Construction Contract Award.
