I recommend the School Board approve an Amendment to the Agreement and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents to establish the Phase 2 Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), for Construction in the amount of $3,721,628. to C.R. Klewin Southeast, Inc. for Construction Management at Risk Services for Limestone Creek Elementary School Addition, Project No. 2031-8377.
Description:
This project will consist of Construction Management at Risk Services required for the construction of classroom additions and increased core facilities including administration, media center, multi-purpose rooms and dining. The student stations will increase from 597 to 964.
Approved Construction Budget: $9,268,775.
Minority Participation: 24%
No. of Stories: Building #1-Administration, one story, modernization, Building #3-Classroom, two story, new construction, Building #4-Administration, one story, modernization, Building #5- Multipurpose, one story, modernization
Construction Type: Tilt Wall and Concrete Masonry Units

Total Additional Student Stations: 367
Construction Cost Per Student Station: $24,710.*

Phase 2 GMP: $3,721,628.

*Does not include Phase 3 Brick Remediation.
Financial Impact:
The financial impact is $3,721,628. The source of funds is the corresponding Capital Projects Budget. The District will provide Builder's Risk insurance for this phase of the project at a total cost of $27,540.
