Title: CP3-Phase 2 for Design/Build- Crystal Lakes ES and Sandpiper Shores ES

Recommendation:
 I recommend the School Board approve the Phase 2 cost for design and construction with Suffolk Construction Company in the amount not to exceed $4,186,472 for Crystal Lakes ES, Project No. 2121-9405 and $4,128,201 for Sandpiper Shores ES, Project No. 1961-9405 and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents.

Description:

Phase 2 design and construction of HVAC and life safety systems replacement in accordance with the permitted design documents and Board adopted Five-Year Capital Plan.

Gross Square Feet: 85,839 (Crystal Lakes ES); 85,510 (Sandpiper Shores ES)  

Cost Per Square Foot: $48.77 (Crystal Lakes ES); $48.28 (Sandpiper Shores ES)

Student Stations: N/A (Crystal Lakes), N/A (Sandpiper Shores ES)

Cost Per Student Station: N/A (Crystal Lakes ES); N/A (Sandpiper Shores ES)

Financial Impact:
The financial impact is $4,186,472 for Crystal Lakes ES and $4,128,201 for Sandpiper Shores ES. The source of funds is the corresponding Capital Projects Budget. The District will provide Builder's Risk insurance for this phase of the project at a total cost of $30,980 for Crystal Lake ES and $30,550 for Sandpiper Shores ES.
