Title: Recommendation: I recommend the School Board approve the demolition of Buildings #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, and #9 at Westward Elementary School, in Accordance with the applicable Charter School District Waiver, and the revised Castaldi dated January 20, 2005. Description: Description: 1. The Castaldi Analysis [Exhibit A] submitted by Song and Associates on January 20, 2005, confirms that all buildings on the campus qualify to be torn down when considered as a single all encompassing facility. 2. The School District received approval of its Charter School District Status on January 21, 2003, at which time the Florida Board of Educational approved the District's request to allow the School District to determine when to replace a building as opposed to relying solely upon the Castaldi analysis [Exhibit "B"]. 3. The campus has been subject to many ongoing acts of trespass, School Police, The SAC, Staff, and parents have express a desire relating to the creation of a complex comprised of one build with the proper security supports and safeguards. The approval to demolish all buildings and replace with a new building will allow for the construction of a new compact replacement school under one roof. Financial Impact: The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $1,233,904.00. The source of funds is the FY2007 Capital Budget. For Additional Information, contact: Joseph M.
