Title: LR2 Approve Final Order Re: Curtis Sherrod

Recommendation:

I recommend that the School Board approve the Final Order for  School Board of Palm Beach County v. Curtis Sherrod, a copy of which is attached hereto, and authorize the execution of all related documents.

Description:

• On May 4, 2004, the Superintendent signed an administrative petition for termination of employment of Mr. Sherrod.
• On February 8^th-10^th, 2005, an Administrative Hearing was held before Judge Larry J. Sartin regarding the termination of employment of Mr. Sherrod.
• On July 8, 2005, Judge Sartin recommended upholding the termination of employment of Mr. Sherrod.
• Mr. Sherrod timely filed Exceptions to the recommended order and an Exceptions Hearing was held before the Board on October 5, 2005.
• The Board voted to uphold the recommended order of Judge Sartin.
• This Final Order is in the best interest of the District.
