The Instructional Personnel Performance Pay Plan was developed pursuant to the requirements of Florida Statutes, Section 1012.22 and Section 447.301(2). It links eligibility for performance pay to specific student learning gains and provides for the participation of all instructional personnel regardless of subject area. This plan is the result of extensive collaboration with the Classroom Teachers Association and represent a consensus between the parties as to the best approach for complying with the spirit and intent of performance pay legislation.
The design of this performance pay plan:
- Corresponds to state, goals, and district goal, and school district key results in
recognizing that reading literacy is the cornerstone of student achievement
- Focuses on an academic subject that is measured by the Florida Comprehensive
Achievement Test
- Recognizes that all instructional personnel are responsible for and contribute to student
achievement and learning gains in this key academic subject
- Incorporates and employs multiple factors for determining eligibility which provides a
uniform and equitable basis for assessing a school's performance
- Aligns with secondary school grading protocol relating to the impact of the
performance of low performing students on a school's grade.
