Title: AC9 Amendment to the SY2006 Middle School Student Progression Plan

Recommendation:
I recommend that the School Board approve the amendament to the SY2006 Middle School Student Progression Plan effective January 6, 2006.

Description:

- Overage, multiple-retainee middle school students are at risk of dropping out.

- State of Florida Statutes 1003.53 and 1008.25, encourage programs that address the needs of multiple retainees.

- Adding language in the Student Progression Plan will enable the new Middle School Multiple Retainee Program to serve students so they can show mastery of curriculum and move to high school.  

Financial Impact:
The is no financial impact to the School District.
