Recommendation:
I recommend approval of the renewal of RFP 05C-006N for Professional Development Regarding the Root Causes of Racism  and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all needed documents

Description:

P3  Approve the renewal of RFP 05C-006N Professional Development Regarding the Root Causes of Racism

Request for Proposal No. 05C-006N was awarded by Board action on September 21, 2005 to People's Institute for Survival for one year from October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006 with the option to renew for one additional one-year period.

The first and final option to renew is now being exercised for the period of October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007.

People's Institute for Survival has agreed to honor terms, conditions and pricing of existing contract for the forthcoming contract period.

Services to be provided are workshops for the District regarding the Root Causes of Racism.

Financial Impact:
The Financial Impact to the General Fund Budget is estimated at $60,000.  The source of the funds are various budgets.
