Title: Recommendation: I recommend the School Board revise the project budget to $8,817,924 and approve an Amendment to the Construction Management at Risk Agreement to establish the Final Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for construction in the amount of $6,989,651 to Kaufman Lynn inc., General Contractors for Description: Construction Management @ Risk Services required for construction of a 346 student station addition at Lake Worth Middle School in accordance with permitted design documents and the Educational Specifications approved by the Board on June 7, 2006. Estimated Construction Budget: $6,622,700. No. of Stories: Two Construction Type: Tilt-Wall Gross Square Feet: 33,330 Budgeted Construction Cost per Actual Total Construction Cost per Gross Square Foot: $211 Building Cost: (Div. 3-16) $6,090,955. Actual Building Cost per Gross Square Foot: (Div. 3-16) $182 Student Stations: 346 Budgeted Construction Cost per Student Station: $19,140. Actual Construction Cost per Student Station: (Div. 3-16) $20,331. Preconstruction Fee: $45,115. GMP: $6,989,651. Total Cost of Construction: $7,034,766. Minority Sub-Contractor Participation: 22.87% Financial Impact: The financial impact is an increase to the project budget of $590,338., and a commitment of $7,041,284 which includes the GMP of $6,989,651 and $51,723 for the District provided Builder’s Risk Insurance.
