Title: P1 Approve 07C-005B RFP for Health Screening Services and Drug & Alcohol Testing Recommendation:
I recommend contract awards be made to the three (3)
highest rated responsive, responsible proposers based
on the evaluation criteria outlined in the RFP.
Description: P1 Approve 07C-005B RFP for Health Screening Services and Drug & Alcohol Testing
· Services to be provided include drug screenings for new employees and substitute teachers, pre-placement and annual physicals for drivers who are required to operate District vehicles with a Commercial Driver’s License, pre-placement physicals for School Police, environmental pre-placement and annual physical examinations, fitness for duty evaluations, Hepatitis B vaccinations and post exposure follow-up and drug and alcohol testing in compliance with the District’s Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace policy.
· The Evaluation Committee, consisting of District staff, convened and reviewed all responsive proposals. It was the recommendation of the Committee to award contracts to the three (3) highest rated proposers: Coach Comp America, MD Now Medical Centers Inc. & NMS Management Services, Inc.
· The term of contract shall be from: April 24, 2007 through April 23, 2010, and may, by mutual agreement, be renewable for two additional one-year periods.
Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the General Fund budget is estimated at $875,000. The source of funds is the Employee Benefits and Risk Management and Employee Relations budgets.
