Title: CC4 Consultant Contract for Philip Dvorak

Recommendation:
I recommend award of the consultant contract with Philip Dvorak for $7,500.00, effective April 19, 2007 through June 30, 2007 and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all needed documents. 

Description:

CC4 Consultant shall perform the following services: Administrative assistance with the Alternative to Suspension program as follows: 300 hours for FACE IT (Families Acting Collaboratively to Educate and Involve Teens) at $25.00 per hour.  The Alternative to Suspension program allows students to reduce Out-of-School Suspension days.

FACE IT (Families Acting Collaboratively to Educate and Involve Teens), an Alternative to Out-of-School Suspension, is a family-focused alcohol, tobacco and other drugs (ATOD) prevention program.  It is offered free of charge in the evenings at regional sites throughout the county.  Participating students have the opportunity to recognize the benefits of living drug and violence free and to participate in a personal assessment of their behaviors and attitudes.  Their parents/caregivers are required to attend.
