Title: PM2 PBG Area ES (03-X) Project Modifications

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board ratify Project Modifications in the amount of $238,750.00 for Palm Beach Gardens Elementary School, New School Project #0661-8337, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

This project modification contains the following item:

 

Item #1

  • CCD #1 in the amount of $238,750.00
  • Description: Tilt wall contractor withdrawal
  • Cause: School District Requested
  • Justification: The tilt wall contractor (Woodland Construction) chose not to participate in the mandatory MCIP (Master Controlled Insurance Program). The work was self-performed by Design Build contractor (Pirtle).  The project was awarded in October 2005, which was prior to the establishment of the District's MCIP.  

Financial Impact:

The Financial Impact to the Project’s Budget is $238,750.00.

 

The source of funds is the project budget as approved by the Board at the time of the Construction Contract Award.
