Title: CP-12 Renewal of General Contractor Services

Recommendation:

I recommend approval of the renewal of Continuing Contract for General Contractor Services to Coral-Tech Associates, Inc., Decon Environmental & Engineering, Inc., DiPompeo Construction Corporation, H.A. Contracting Corp., Hedrick Bros. Construction Company, Inc., Kaufman Lynn Inc., General Contaractors, M.A.C. Construction, Inc., and Weiss & Woolrich Contracting Co. Inc. This renewal period will be from May 19, 2007 through May 18, 2008.

Description:

Approval of the first of three additional one-year renewal periods for General Contractor Services on a Continuing Contract basis. This contract is for services and various facets of general construction activities requested by the District on an as needed basis and for emergency services.

Minority Sub-consultant Participation: 15%

Financial Impact:

The financial impact is $5,000,000. from Hurricane and Project funds. In addition, should we have an emergency need, funds used will be reported to the Board in accordance with Policy 6.14.
