Title: Recommendation: I recommend the School Board approve an Agreement for Construction Management at Risk Services and Preconstruction Phase Services Fee in the amount of $29,575 to Horus Construction Services, Inc., and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents for Pre-Construction fees for Spanish River Bio-Tech Academy Addition Project No. 1681-8228. Description: Construction Management @ Risk Services required for Preconstruction Phase Services including design review and recommendation to establish a Guaranteed Maximum Price for renovation of existing auditorium building for a new Biotechnology Academy encompassing approximately 17,262 GSF for laboratory and classroom space, as well as the addition of an 800 square foot greenhouse and 600 square foot covered patio area for related instructional use, in accordance with Estimated Budget for Construction: $2,660,525 Construction Type: To be determined during Preconstruction Phase No. of Stories: To be determined during Preconstruction Phase. Gross Square Feet: 17,262 Estimated Total New Student Stations: 75 Estimated Cost/Student Station: $35,474. Preconstruction Phase Services Fee: $21,875. Reimbursable Expenses: $7,700. Total: $29,575. Three (3) firms responded to the RFP, and all three (3) were shortlisted. The final ranking of the Selection Committee is as follows: (1) Horus Construction Services, Inc.
