I recommend the School Board approve Amendment No.1 to the Lease Agreement between the Palm Beach County Head-Start Program and the School Board of Palm Beach County; and authorize the Chairman and the Superintendent to sign all necessary documents.

·        On June 20, 2001, the School Board approved a Lease Agreement between the School Board and Palm Beach County’s Children Services Division for a Head Start Program to be located at Delray Full Service Center. (See Exhibit A)

·        Since there is a continuing need for the Head Start Program, the Children Services Division is requesting the lease be amended to extend the lease for a term of one (1) year and provide two (2) additional one-year renewal options.

·        The Lease extension will commence August 20, 2007 and expire August 19, 2008.

·        The annual rent is $1.00 per year.
