Title: Recommendation: CC 6A I recommend award of the Consultant contract with Nova Southeastern University for $350,080.00 effective July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008 and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all needed documents. CC 6B I recommend award of the Consultant contract with Nova Southeastern University for $28,500.00 effective July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008 and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all needed documents. CC 6C I recommend award of the Consultant contract with Nova Southeastern University for $82,875.00 effective July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008 and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all needed documents. Description: CC 6A The Consultant shall perform the following services: Nova Southeastern University will provide the Category One ESOL training program to five hundred forty-seven (547) Palm Beach County School District participants. Textbooks are included. The teacher training is aligned with the META agreement. Participants will receive 15 graduate credits in ESOL. Classes will be offered in Fall 2007, Winter 2008 and Summer 2008. CC 6B The Consultant shall perform the following services: The Fischler Graduate School of Education and Human Services will provide 75 Palm Beach County School District administrators and guidance counselors with a three-credit graduate course, EDU 636: Teaching the ESL Learner for 75 students (fully online delivery). Classes will be offered in Fall 2007, Winter 2008, and Summer 2008. CC 6C The Consultant shall perform the following services: Nova Southeastern University/Fischler School of Education and Human Services will provide 75 Palm Beach County participants TESOL Endorsement Courses (fully online delivery). Classes will be offered in Fall 2007, Winter 2008, and Summer 2008. Textbooks are included.
