Title: G2-Mary and Robert Pew Public Education Fund grant awarded to Greenacres Elementary

Recommendation:

I recommend that the School Board approve the Mary and Robert Pew Public Education Fund grant for $15000.00 effective June 1, 2007 , and authorize the Superintendent or designee to sign all documents and contracts related to the grant which are required for implementation of the grant activities.

Description:

The Mary and Robert Pew Public Education Fund grant is awarded to the summer science camp at Greenacres Elementary.  This grant is for the period of June 1, 2007 through September 30, 2007. This grant is to support field trip expenses associated with Greenacres Elementary K-5 summer science camp experience.  The award letter was received by the school on May 4, 2007 which was too late for the May Board Meeting. 

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Special Revenue-Other Funds Budget is an increase of $15000.00.  All grant related expenditures and contracts are authorized for payment up to the amount of revenue.  There is no financial impact to the Operating Budget
