Title: Recommendation: I recommend that the School Board approve the Mary and Robert Pew Public Education Grant – Lucy Calkins Writers Workshop Affiliate School Project in the amount of $90,000.00 effective June 1, 2007 through May 30, 2008 and authorize the Superintendent or designee to sign all related documents and contracts. Description: The grant will be assigned to the West Area Office for $90,000 to be distributed as needed to KEC/Canal Point Elementary, Pahokee Elementary, and Rosenwald Elementary. Funds will be used to allow above referenced schools to participate as affiliate schools in the The principal of each school will furnish the Pew Fund with a final report that contains a statement and a narrative account of program outcomes. Financial Impact: The financial impact to the district is $90,000.00. These funds will be received at the West Area Office to be distributed to the subject schools as needed.
