Title: PM12 Liberty Park ES Project Modifications

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board ratify Project Modifications in the Not-to-Exceed amount of $144,980.00 and for the addition of one hundred forty seven (147) non-compensable days and sixty two (62) compensable days for Liberty Park Elementary School, Classroom Addition and HVAC Replacement Project #1871-8376, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

This project modification contains the following items:

  • Item #1 in the Not-to-Exceed amount of $130,950.00 and the addition of one hundred thirty four (134) non-compensable days and fifty six (56) compensable days
  • Description: Extend substantial completion one hundred ninety (190) days.
  • Cause: Unforeseen Conditions.
  • Justification: Delays due to existing conditions creating revisions for conflicts with; utilities, structural components, fire stopping, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.

  • Item #2 in the Not-to-Exceed amount of $14,030.00 and the addition of thirteen  (13) non compensable days and six (6) compensable days.
  • Description: Extend substantial completion nineteen (19) days.
  • Cause: School District Requested.
  • Justification: Add gutters and downspouts along with a dewater system at building 8 to prevent the covered walkway from flooding.
  •  Also the relocation and upgrade of the ITV cabinet and equipment in the renovated Media center.

Financial Impact:

The Financial Impact to the Project’s Budget is a Not-to-exceed $144,980.00.
