Title: PM4 Palm Beach Lakes HS Project Modifications Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board ratify Project Modifications in the amount of $349,766.00 to The Weitz Company for Palm Beach Lakes High School, Auditorium Project #1851‑8272, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.
Description:
This project modification contains the following item:
- CCD #1 in the amount of $349,766.00
- Description: Relocation of chiller.
- Cause: School District requested
- Justification: Relocate and increase size of chiller yard. This is done in consideration of the future academy building which will be adjacent to the auditorium. Proposed auditorium chiller yard is not large enough for increased size. New location is better suited to serve both buildings. The combining of the chiller systems eliminate the need for an additional chiller plant.
Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $349,766.00
The source of funds is the project budget as approved by the Board at the time of the Construction Contract Award.
