Title: Diana Handwerker-Humane Society Teen of the Year

Description: Diana Handwerker, a recent graduate of Boca Raton High School, has been chosen the Humane Society of the United States' Humane Teen of the Year.  She started the Bobcat Paw Pals at her school to raise awareness and funds for animals in need. Diana also organized supply drives for her local animal shelter and worked with local Boy Scouts to clear an area on the shelter grounds for an animal exercise area. She continues to speak out on a range of animal protection issues, from pet overpopulation to the Canadian seal hunt.
