Title: Recommendation: I recommend contract awards be made to the five (5) highest rated proposers based on the evaluation criteria outlined in the RFP. Description: P1 Approve 07C-012B - RFP for Speech and Language Services · Services to be provided include speech and language diagnostic and therapy services throughout the District. These services will be provided to pre-kindergarten students ages 3-5 years old who are referred for assessment, identified as having a speech and/or language impairment and in need of special education services and those who are enrolled in Head Start programs and approved child care centers under contract with the District, students in grades Kindergarten through 12 who are referred for assessment, identified as having a speech and/or language impairment and in need of special education services or those identified as needing speech and/or language as related services to benefit from special education services at public schools in the District, and parentally placed private school students who are referred for assessment, identified as having a speech and/or language impairment and in need of special education services to be provided at the private schools or at other locations designated by the District as a result of the annual meaningful consultation meetings with the private schools as required by IDEA. · The Evaluation Committee, consisting of District staff, convened and reviewed all responsive proposals. It was the recommendation of the Committee to award this contract to the five highest rated proposers. · The term of contract shall be from August 16, 2007 through June 30, 2012, and if needed, the contract(s) will be extended up to 90 days beyond the contract expiration date.
