This is the annual cooperative agreement between the CARP and the School District.
This program provides educational services for up to thirty-two (32) substance abuse, disciplinary and truant male and female youths between the ages of 13 and 18 whose families have voluntarily enrolled them in the program.
The goal of the program is to develop the social skills and academic knowledge to ensure a successful transition to their home school after completion of the program.
Length of the program is four (4) months and is residential.
Students are evaluated through the SRI-Interactive reading, STAR math, and FCAT tests.
The CARP provides intensive counseling and behavior management in a therapeutic setting with student and family counseling and social services after the student has completed the program.
The CARP provides room and board and all other operational expenses incurred by the program.
The school district is responsible for the instructional staff, custodian, and materials needed to provide the educational program.
Although backdating agreements is not our standard practice, it was necessary in this particular case due to legal negotiations. It does not prejudice the rights of the School Board.
