Title: Recommendation: Description: Art & Sara Jo Kobacker have helped to craft a strong vision of quality education and programming at the Village Academy in Delray Beach, Florida. In addition to the goal of providing a high quality education to each student, this vision includes the goal of instilling in each student a strong sense of self-esteem, a sensitivity to the needs of others and a motivation to succeed. The purpose of the agreement is to provide ongoing support to Village Academy. The Kobackers, through Arthur and Sara Jo Kobacker, Alfred and Ida Kobacker Foundation, The Village Academy, the School Board of Palm Beach County and the United Way of Palm Beach County have reached this agreement to provide ongoing financial support for the Village Academy. It is the intention of the Kobackers, through the Kobacker Fundation, to make two grants to the United Way of Palm Beach County for the Village Academy as follows: First Grant: An outright gift of $50,000 annually for needed programs and activities at the Village Academy. Second Grant: an additional gift of up to a maximum of $50,000 annually for needed programs and activities at the Village Academy. The annual amount of this second grant shall be equal to the amount of any "matching gifts" received annually by the Village Academy.
