Title: PL1 - Interlocal Agreement between the School Board of Palm Beach County and the Boynton Beach Comm

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve the Interlocal Agreement between the  School Board of Palm Beach County and the Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency for the Painting of Galaxy Elementary School.

Description:

·        The Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) has funds available to improve neighborhoods and buildings in the City of Boynton Beach.

·        The CRA is desirous of re-painting Galaxy Elementary School since it is located at the gateway to the City.

·       The CRA and the School District are cognizant of the effects a building can have on the students and residents and therefore agree that the painting of the school will be beneficial to the overall community. 

·        The CRA will fund the total cost for painting the exterior of the School.

·        The total cost for painting of the school shall be paid to the School District within 10 days after the bids are deemed satisfactory to the CRA and the School Board.

·        The School District will be responsible for contracting with a School Board approved vendor and assuring that the paint and any other material used comply with School Board approved standards.

Financial Impact:
An estimated cost between $65,000 and $75,000 to be paid in full by the Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency.
