Title: Recommendation: I recommend the School Board approve an Agreement for Construction Management at Risk Services and Preconstruction Phase Services Fee in the amount of $44,120. to The Weitz Company, LLC, for and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents for Pre-Construction fees for Wellington High School Veterinarian Academy, Project No: 2191-8228. Description: Construction Management @ Risk Services required for Preconstruction Phase Services including design review and recommendation to establish a Guaranteed Maximum Price for remodeling of the existing ‘Little Theater’ into classroom spaces to accommodate program requirements for a 100 student station, 6,771 gross square foot academy for an equine/pre-veterinarian program. Construction will be in accordance with the Educational Specifications approved by the Board on July 19, 2006 with analysis by the Project Architect for appropriate usage of the facilities. Estimated Budget for Construction: $2,258,025 (Five Year Capital Plan) Construction Type: N/A (Remodeling) No. of Stories: N/A (Remodeling) Gross Square Feet: 6,771. Estimated Total New Student Stations: 100 Estimated Construction Cost/Student Station: $22,580. Preconstruction Phase Services Fee: $44,120. Reimbursable Expenses: $9,650. Total: $53,770. Four (4) firms responded to the RFP of which three (3) were shortlisted.
