Recommendation:

I recommend that the School Board approve additional estimated expenditures on RFP   05C-010N Environmental Consulting Services, in the not-to-exceed amount of $250,000.

Description:

Approve request for additional estimated expenditure for RFP 05C-010N Environmental Consulting Services.

·         Services provided include environmental consulting services throughout the District.

• Vendor Names: Evans Environmental, Qore, Universal Environmental, URS, Handex of Florida  

·         Original Estimated Expenditure: $ 500,000

·         Originally Presented to Board: August 17, 2005       

·         Original Contract Period: October 26, 2005 – October 25, 2010

·         Amount of increase: $250,000

·         The revised estimated expenditure is $ 750,000

·         Purchase Orders Issued: $ 420,606

            Requisitions Pending: $ 0

·         Reason for Increase: The shortfall in this estimated expense was due in large part to additional investigative costs associated with pre-purchase property audits on environmentally troubled land and un-expected expenses incurred during hurricane Wilma recovery efforts which made landfall in Florida on October 24, 2005.
