Recommendation:

I recommend that the School Board approve additional estimated expenditure on RFP 05C-009N Asbestos and Industrial Hygiene Consulting Services, in the not-to-exceed amount of $350,000.

P6 Approve Additional estimated expenditure request for RFP 05C-009N Asbestos and Industrial Hygiene Consulting Services

·         Contract Overview: Services provided include Asbestos and Industrial Hygiene Consulting services throughout the District.

• Vendor Name(s):  Enhealth, Mactec, Morse Zehnter, Qore, REP Associates.

·         Original Estimated Expenditure: $500,000                

·         Originally Presented to Board: August 17, 2005            

·         Original Contract Period: October 26, 2005 – October 25, 2010            

·         Amount of this Increase: $ 350,000

·         The revised estimated expenditure is $ 850,000

·         Purchase Orders Issued: $ 500,000

            Requisitions Pending: $ 116,000

·         Reason for Increase: Due to asbestos surveys required for unknown’s in newly purchased properties and renovations, management plans for all new buildings and regulated supervision for asbestos abatements.  This required on an as needed basis.
