New Business - Purchasing

Title: P7 Approve the Agreement with RFP Depot, LLC.

Recommendation:
I recommend approval for the Agreement with RFP Depot, LLC, in the amount of $116,000 for the contract period September 20, 2007 through June 30, 2009 and authorized the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all necessary documents. 

Description:

P7 Approve the Agreement with RFP Depot, LLC to provide a web-based electronic bidding system for the contract period September 20, 2007 through June 30, 2009.

 

·         RFP Depot, LLC was designed by public purchasing professions, vendors and technical staff to create a system to use for soliciting bids electronically.

 

·         At the April 21, 2004 School Board Meeting, the Board approved an Agreement with RFP Depot, LLC for the Purchasing Department to begin using their services for the contract period April 22, 2004 through June 30, 2006.

 

·          At the May 17, 2006 School Board Meeting, the Board approved the Agreement renewal with RFP Depot, LLC for FY07.

 

·         The Purchasing Department would like to enter into a new Agreement with RFP Depot, LLC for contract period September 20, 2007 through June 30, 3009.

 

·         The annual cost for year 2008 is $58,000.  The fee for the second year will be $58,000 or $5,400 monthly at the discretion of the School District.

 

·         The Purchasing Department plans to move this functionality into the solicitation portion of the Strategic Sourcing Module of PeopleSoft which will be implemented at a future date.
