Title: AC2-Memorandum of Agreement with Prevention Partnerships for Children, Inc. (PPC).

Recommendation:
I recommend that the School Board approve the Memorandum of Agreement with Prevention Partnerships for Children, Inc., to fund a full-time position (Specialist in Evaluation and Test Development) at no cost to the School District.

Description:

• The Prevention Partnerships for Children, Inc. will continue to fund a full-time Level 2 Specialist  position to conduct statistical analysis and evaluations of district programs funded by the Children's Services Council.
• The Memorandum of Agreement between the School Board and Prevention Partnerships for Children, Inc. renews the previously approved Memorandum of Agreement that expires on September 30, 2007.
• The Memorandum of Agreement between the School Board and Prevention Partnerships for Children, Inc. will be in effect from October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008.
• Results of the agreement between the District and Children's Services have been positive.  For example, the Student ID Project will allow us to track students as they enter preschool programs and progress through the school system.

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Special Revenue - Other Funds budget is an increase of up to $85,482.14.  The funds will be allocated to the Research and Evaluation budget.
