Title: 2004 USDA Best Practice Award

Description: The School District has received the 2004 USDA Best Practice Award for increasing participation in school lunch through the promotion of fruits and vegetables consumption.  The School Food Service Department created many exciting activities and marketing campaigns, as well as new menu items to entice students to make more fruit and vegetable choices.  Along with the fruits and vegetables campaign the Department provided nutrition education and awareness of the current epidemic of obesity.
