Parent Services

FDLRS and the Exceptional Student Education Department
(ESE) continue hosting free monthly virtual Parent University
events. As we plan these events, our goal is to have all families
participate. Since we’re providing these events virtually, we
have also taken the spoken home language into consideration.
You will see that our events are offered in: English, Spanish and Creole. As a parent, you can choose which
event you are interested in attending as well as which language you are more comfortable in.

It’s important to register for these events and provide us with your email to then receive the Google Meet link
so you may participate. Our events serve the purpose of providing families the opportunity to learn strategies
they can apply at home, learn about community resources, and potentially connect with other parents for
support. We encourage all families to be attentive to district emails which include Parent University flyers
promoting the events.

Parents can learn more about FDLRS/ESE Parent Services by calling: Lissette Martinez-Morales at (561)
434-8377 or via email Lissette.martinez@palmbeachschools.org in order to discuss any concerns or answer
any questions regarding an ESE student. Mary Black, our Parent as Liaison (PAL) is available at (561) 676-
1492 or at mary.black.c@palmbeachschools.org. Our PAL can participate in 504 Plan meetings and IEP
meetings all at no charge to families. It’s a “free” service. Let’s work together as a team and provide our
children the quality education they deserve!
