x. Footwear that does not provide adequate protection or hygienic measures.
xi. A student who fails to maintain personal cleanliness, grooming, or neatness of dress to the extent that
presence in the classroom creates classroom or school disorder or distracts the attention of others from
assigned classroom activity will be required to maintain a level of personal cleanliness, grooming, or neatness
of dress that eliminates the disorder or the distraction of other students in the classroom.
DUTIES OF THE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
Pursuant to F.S. § 1001.54, a district school board shall employ, through written contract, public school principals.
The school principal:
● has authority over school district personnel in accordance with F.S. § 1012.28.
● shall fully support the authority of each teacher and school bus driver to remove disobedient, disrespectful,
violent, abusive, uncontrollable, or disruptive students from the classroom and the school bus and, when
appropriate and available, place such students in an alternative educational setting.
● shall provide instructional leadership in the development, revision, and implementation of a school improvement
plan pursuant to F.S. § 1001.42(18).
● must make the necessary provisions to ensure that all school reports are accurate and timely, and must provide
the necessary training opportunities for staff to accurately report attendance, FTE Program participation, student
performance, teacher appraisal, and school safety, and discipline data.
● is responsible for the management and care of instructional materials, in accordance with the provisions of
chapter 1006.
● shall fully support and cooperate in the implementation of F.S. §. 1002.23. ECONOMIC SECURITY REPORT
